RAJU SAGAR
Project Director, Tanzania
Raju Sagar is a key player in the development of optometry in Tanzania. She has represented Tanzania at the World Council of Optometry (WCO), has worked with the Ministry of Health in Tanzania, and takes responsibility for the organisation of the Tanzanian annual training conference. She is keen to develop a programme of continuing education and training (CET) to encourage currently practising Tanzanian optometrists to develop their skills and knowledge.
HANNAH BARTLETT
Project Director / Clinical Editor, UK
Hannah Bartlett is a lecturer in Optometry at Aston University in the UK. She teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Aston, and regularly delivers CET to UK optometrists in the form of articles published in professional journals, and lectures at training meetings and conferences. She has also delivered training lectures at American Academy of Optometry meetings, and was invited to speak at the Tanzania Optometric Association conference in 2008. Hannah also has significant experience in the development of learning materials.
MARCELLO LEUCCI
Project Director / Site Design and Administration, UK
Marcello is a Resident Optometrist at Moorfields Eye Hospital and has been working in web design since 1998. He has headed up development of the OptoCET site since the project began in 2008, being responsible for its design, and maintenance. Outside the project, he has also developed and runs two other websites: the UK student site OPSOC-UK.com and the website of the African Council of Optometry, AFCOptom.org. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 2004, but after having worked in optometric practice for many years, he developed a keen interest in Optometry and decided to pursue a career in the field.
KATIE MAXTON
CET Update Co-ordinator, UK
Katie has beeen with the project since 2010, when the project expanded, requiring more volunteers to help deal with members' CET needs. She has been teaching and coordinating the efforts of our other volunteers in keeping the site's learning materials and tests up to date.
ADELINA BEYLA
CET Updates, UK
Adelina is an Optometry student at Aston University who became involved with the project in 2011 when it expanded and she responded to a call for more volunteers to help with the increased workload. Along with the OptoCET team, she is responsible for keeping the site’s CET articles and tests up to date on a monthly basis.
PRIYA VIGNESWARAN
CET Updates, UK
Priya is a graduate of McMaster University in Canada and a 2nd year Optometry student at Aston University. When the site expanded and workload increased Priya also volunteered her time to help. Along with the OptoCET team, she is responsible for keeping the site’s CET articles and tests up to date on a monthly basis.
